Feat: Improved Combat Expertise

The character's combat expertise has improved to allow greater flexibility in making trade-offs between attack and defense.

Prerequisite: Combat Expertise, +4 BAB

Benefit: This feat allows a character to shift any or all of his base attack bonus modifer to armor class. This means that a character with a +4 BAB and a 12 AC can temporarily give up anywhere from +1 to +4 of that BAB to gain a matching bonus to AC, for instance reducing effective BAB to +2 in exchange for increasing AC to 14.

These modifiers do not stack with those of the basic Combat Expertise feat, instead replacing it.

Special: A Fighter may select Improved Combat Expertise as one of his Fighter bonus Feats.
