Feat: Armor Specialization

Choose one type of armor, such as Studded Leather. You can also choose a shield or weapon type, such as Heavy Wooden Shield or Short Sword. You are especially good at defending yourself with this type of protective gear. If it applies to a weapon, the benefits are gained only while using it in conjunction with the Two-Weapon Defense Feat.

Prerequisite: Base attack bonus +1 and proficiency in the selected armor, shield, or weapon type.

Benefit: When wearing the selected armor type or using the selected shield or weapon type for defensive purposes, you gain DR 2/-. This benefit does not apply when flat footed or otherwise subject to a condition that obviates a Dexterity bonus to Armor Class.

Special: You can gain this Feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take the Feat, it applies to a new type of protective gear.

A Fighter may select Armor Specialization as one of his Fighter bonus Feats.
